Our Church

Our Mission Statement

St. John's Temple Corps exists solely to glorify and serve God. Our mission, founded upon Christ's command "to go and make disciples" (Matt. 28 19-20), is to proclaim the message of salvation, seek to win the lost for Christ and nurture followers in their faith. We will strive to be a caring Christian community as we celebrate our faith through worship services, teaching of the Word, and opportunities for individual expression and commitment.

The Founder of The Salvation Army

William Booth

William Booth began The Salvation Army in July 1865. Preaching to a small street congregation in the slums of London, his spirit was as militant as that of a professional soldier while battling an almost overwhelming enemy.
